Northfield Knife Attack 2015



On Friday 7th April 2015 at around 5 pm a scuffle broke out in between some youths in Lockwood Road/Bristol Road South that ended with Sherrif Mbye (18, and from Lee Bank) dead and another unnamed youth (19) seriously injured in hospital. The whole of Northfield is in shock as this happened in full view of shoppers and shop keepers. Over a hundred bunches of flowers, drinks, posters & t-shirts have been left close the the scene of the knife attack.

 Update: Rakeem Riley, 18, of no fixed address, and Omar Robinson, 21, have been charged with murder and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.


Update: Saturday 25th April, close to these flowers, police said that ‘disorder’ broke out in Lockwood Road at 1.30am  after a window was smashed and guns were fired, an 18 year old was taken to hospital.
