This is my Granddad, Christopher Bailey, in his Northfield shop (c.1969) It was a grocers, come butchers, come sweet shop, and was on the small parade on Frankley Beeches Road, opposite the Black Horse Pub and where Sainsbury's is now. He owned it until the early eighties I think. Does anyone remember it? (John Bailey)
YES! when it was a sweetshop was when my dad moved in. around the late 70's! Stayed there till 1996 when Sainsburys bought the whole area..!
