The Genie of Industry - Longbridge Lane by rail bridge/station
Commissioned by Centro the artwork of John McKenna feature sits on top of a train information point. John designed the genie as a tribute to the industry of the Birmingham metal bashers over the centuries. The Birmingham civic coat of arms has a black smith and anvil upon it which were starting points of information for the genie. Above the genie in progress at John McKenna's studio when it was in Worcestershire. Designed by John Mckenna. Metal bashed by John Mckenna aided by his long assistant Darren Sutton. Northfield station has one of a tree.
