For nearly 75 years the River Rea has been buried under the Austin Factory estate, out of sight, and now the factory's has been bulldozed the river has been given new life. It can be seen behind (main entrance) to the new Bournville Collage. Just a short tunnel remains under the new Sainsbury's (why not have used a glass floor in shop?) Concerned that industrial pollution may seep into the river a number of catch devices have been installed further down stream.
Waterside trees, plants and grasses have been planted to the restored river path along the route of the old railway lines.
Holding back any pollution & the ducks, lol
