Eddystone Radio

This is what the short lived Lido aka 'the Bath Tub' turned into, Eddystone Radio. They built short wave radio's for sea liners and radio hams, good ones too! I went for a job interview when I left school, but the sight of all those women at work put me off, lol, It moved to Selly Oak in the early 90's.

The factory also kept a small musem of all their own radios/products

A sad day for the area in 1994. The site is now a new housing development. (Cedar Drive & Laughton Close)
